TV service as gone down & was told to remove my sim card YES that's right was told by Virgin Media customer services call center that to get my TV back up & running I will have to take my sim card out of my mobile phone Right I know that their call center is in India they read direct from cards, but am still trying to work out why I must remove my sim card I told the person on phone that my mobile is working its my TV that as stopped working, was then told to turn modem off for 30 seconds then turn back on Finally after being on phone for 20 minutes they got to TV problems & bingo by Joe they got it, now came the real problem I told them I work in the mornings so every appointment they gave me was for 8am to 12 pm great bashing head on phone didn't knock any sense into the person on other end of phone, so my brother took phone off me & told the person we work in the afternoons & guest what it worked as they gave me a appointment for the afternoon but not until next Tuesday the 28th June. Now my lodger saw a Virgin engineer down the road installing Virgin internet in one of my neighbours home & he asked him if he could checked the connections at the junction box at the corner of the street, as we have no TV service 10 minutes later the Virgin engineer knocked on the door to say he had tighten up several connections & does my TV work now. yes my TV service is back up & running again But now I had another problem trying to cancel the engineer appointment for next week , once again the Indian call center was reading from cards & 45 minutes later I managed to cancel the engineer they then sent me a email asking me on how well their customer services was ............ that was very wrong of them as I told them the truth that they were terrible & then received another email saying that they are only human & must give them a good rating & can I remove my previous comments & put in excellent comments. I refilled the rating form in German putting down that they want me to put excellent rating & to remove my previous bad ratings.
Sorry but it is nothing new. Currently the overseas call centers are so bad that, the company I work for is cancelling them all and moving over 10,000 call center jobs back to the U.S.
Yes LMost its nothing new but what does removing my sim card have to do with my virgin TV box ? I have been rewarded £10 credit off my next bill for the non co-operative customer service person that wasn't listening to what I was saying, it pays to put a complaint form in as I am also getting a up to date virgin HD+ box [still have the old non HD box at moment] the engineer will be delivering & installing new box on Saturday
