Beagle Dad becomes a father of two!

Hi All, been a while since I've been on, some of you may remember I took Samantha on from a local rescue.

Well following a successful few months, with help from on here! We've just got Sam a play mate!

Last Sunday we picked up Mercury from Beagle Welfare.

He is 6 years old, same as Sam, but couldn't be more different! First 5 days have gone incredibly well, seeing improvements every day. A few worries (see dog health lol!) but all good.

The two of them get on great, better every day....spot him lol (he's the darker bigger one lol)

    Cheers

    Thanks all :)

I learnt with Sam that what you are told when you get them is often rubbish made up by the previous owners, so I don't take a great deal of notice to be honest!

Regarding Mercury, he as meant to be an only dog, one owner since pup, and only reason they got rid was divorce....

To be honest though, few things don't add up...

For starters, and I know it's early days with us, he cannot go off lead yet he just wonders and goes...(I know normal beagle, but Sam is great at recall and he is meant to be) I also can't imagine someone putting up with his randy behaviour and constant erections for 6 years and not getting him neutered (unless they used him for stud?)

His pedigree line is huge and impressive, his puppies would have gone for very good money I would have thought.

So not sure really, but he is great and they have certainly settled brilliant ....... so far LOL

    Mercury!

Probably named for his running off (G)!

I am sure he'll be fine with you.

i m sure i seen him on the beagle welfare website he is gorgeous great that youve rescued him bet he will have a great life now whatever happened in the past.
when i got my second beagle i noticed a great improvement in my other beagle they are constantly together which is what beagles love.

my 2nd beagle picked up her recall from my other dog so give him time im sure he will pick it up quickly especialy if sam is good too.
