Mavs coat is still rather wavy on top, i remember ripleys was when she was young but it is now very smooth and flat. Mavs coat is a little coarser than rips, do you think it will eventually 'flatten' out and lay flat?
Oh that is lovely and wavy I know Bens goes all wavy when his coat is changing twice a year - and it went the most wavy mad when he was loosing his puppy coat hmm my guess would be that coat will stay a bit wavy - looks lovely Its only a guess tho
I dont mind, though would prefer it to be more straight...if it helps he is only 11 months and entire.
Irish Setters get very wavy on top when their coat is growing looks like a ridge! To me it looks like puppy coat growth but I'm no expert on a collie
My Len has a course curly coat on top & has done since puppy, He had a Cryptorchid & I was told this contributed to the curly coat, not sure how true that is though!! (something to do with Hormones)
Jazz had a gold 'mane' in his fist year, but it grew out and settled. He was neutered at 7 months though so may be different for your guy
I think he will have a lovely coat when he matures. It doesn't look wavy particularly. I used to go to herding training with a collie whose coat was as curly as a ewes! LOL
