(I put only the sentences which were relevant, not all the description of myself, or the conversation about bad or good weather. But, the entire mail exchange can be sended to whom wants to, because you can easily have the feeling, parts of respons fail.... its not a feeling, its a fact!)

Angel 05.09 (I saw an announcement on Tamaskan Dog Register : some puppies may still be available. so I decided to write to the breeder)
I saw on TDR homepage that you have puppies. do you still have some to sale ? (COMMENTS this annoucement is still online... 8 month later!!!)

Lynn 05.09 I do have a waiting list and next puppies will be due this automn, ready late winter/early 2012

A 04.01 Did your litter come ? (COMMENTS if girl was mated about 15-20 octobre... + about 63 days.... = 17-22 decembre ! so when I ask on 4th january, they should be born)

L. 05.01 First pups are due around 28th january. I will let you know the minute we have babies (COMMENTS she never did that)

A 07.02 I want to know if puppies are born. Do you already know the day you'll bring them to Germany? I'ts important since I want to move.

L 10.02 Pups are born. Puppies are 8 weeks when they go to their homes. (COMMENTS she didn't give me a date of birth !! + remember the date.... 10th of february, she told me... PUPS ARE BORN)

A 22.02 I answered her questions + : before I can give you my definit okay, I have questions too : 1. which male with which bitch, 2. results of hip-score, 3. results of DM, 4. other health issues, 5. which day which litter is born, 6. when do you bring them to Europe.

L 09.03 Litter from Zuul in october turns out she wasn't pregnant just fat. Deposits are non-returnable

A 12.03 Yes deposits are not refundable, when the seller is honest. I paid a deposit because you told me you'll have puppies to Christmas ! And now you tell me you cannot see the difference between a fot dog and a pregnant dog ! But you'll assume your decision.

I never heard from her since that day! So people, you can now look who is dishonest here. At this day, I didn't receive pictures, she always told me to look on her homepage. Which I did, but there is only one pic per dog, no pictures where they live, how they are now... I don't know how old the pics are !! I cannot know if the dogs are hold in cages, if they are well socialised (as she pretend on her website), I don't know how she looks like (she asked me pictures of my home, my husband, my other dogs, my house). I don't know if Susi or Heidi had girls... as I could not choose my litter. I still know nothing about the personality of the dogs.

That is awful!! I'm sure there are dishonest breeders all around the world. It is possible that the 'breeder' you have been speaking to is not a breeder at all, but that it is just a scam to get deposits off prospective 'owners'.
Can you contact any authority to get them checked out? What country do they live in?
You will be far safer to buy a dog from a breeder that has been recommended to you, so that at least you can visit the kennel etc etc.
I am sorry that you have had such a bad experience and have lost your money. Good luck in finding your new puppy

I thought discussion of Tamaskans was banned on here?
These are designer crosses whose breeding has been dogged by scams, lies and false claims.
Caveat emptor springs to mind.

C+D the ban was lifted a little while ago but its shameful to see that nothing has changed.

I have never known someone to demand a deposite to go on a waiting list, after all anything can happen with the bitch or the litter which would mean the breeder having to refund a lot of money!

Oups... to much questions for me... and I'm not sure understanding all of them.

About deposit. It can be usual, to protect the breeder. When someone say I take the puppy, and than do not and the breeder has to find a new person. BUT... it's refundable when the breeder lies. She doesn't want to give it back.

About trading standard, yes we have... but this woman is in England, so... to far away to do something.

I don't want to create another polemic about the breed itself. Since I cannot find out by myself the truth about the wolf in it or not. Just about the breeder. It's a shame and it's a very bad publicity for all good breeders, for Tamaskan or other breeds.
So if so much people as possible could be informed, I hope that no one else lose it's money as I did.

Just for information: she WAS recommended to me. For some Tamaskan breeder she's god on earth. That's all the difficulty when you search a puppy, to find a REAL good breeder. I'd never take contact with her, without this recmmendation !!

How did I know this would be the person you were talking about. After being on top of the tam breed for years it has finally come out in the light that **** and ***** are both pretty dishonest in fact she has been kicked out of the TDR..

Sorry but why on earth would you pay £200 for puppies that werent even born yet?? When I put a deposit down for my Millie I saw her first and even then only paid £50 to secure her. I would of thought something to be really fishy if the breeder wanted £200 for a desposit.

There is a website called tamaskantruth you need to look at. It blows the whole charade wide open and exposes it all. This person is well known to us Utonagan people - as someone to steer well clear of!!!!

No. Don't go to tamaskantruth. That website was made by a puppy farmer under a fake name with a stolen photo. It's full of lies.

I've read tamaskantruth a couple of times, and so have other people, and I haven't found anyone who disagrees with the findings on there, it was stuff we all knew anyway, but had been covered up. I don't think the person who wrote it is using a pseudonym as there are lots of facts about them that are checkable.
I presume the extracts from the forum he reproduces are false as well:?
