Todays program had me fuming, there was a lovely brown dog who the dog wardens labeled as "pit type" but they phoned a police dog handler in for him to say pitbul, they would not show how or what tests were done on dog by police officer, they only said dog was non aggressive, the owners could have dog back if they have the dog neutered, chipped & tattooed & if the courts agree to them having dog back.
I only caught a bit of the programme as I had to go out, so set it to record. I was really worried about what was going to happen to that beautiful dog. I will probably watch it tonight though I know it's going to make me upset and angry.
Watched it from the start it has made me cry a few times don't understand how people can treat animals like they do.

This annoyed me also why not show the tests being done. I also didn't like when the 2 wardens who found the dog and the man said, I don't like the look of him look at the the size of his head that's a pit. Talk about sentence the dog to death before you know.
They should always do a dna test before saying it a pit. I had a staffy for 13 years and never once was he aggressive he was the most lovable dog and was never any trouble
The police won't take a DNA test to prove if it's a pit bull type or not they go by measurements and temperate of the dog only.
I've catched it!some lovely heart warming stories,but yes can see what you mean about abit bias towards pit bull types,they must think every dog with a big head is pit bull the way they go on!!
