    AMWA Salisbury Trek

This was my team at the 15 mile Salisbury Trek yesterday organised by AMWA (The Alaskan Malamute Working Association). We had a great day and although it was exhausting, the dogs absolutely loved the longer distance. Six of our Siberian Huskies took part - I was running Merlin, Summer, Tovik and Trader; and our friend and training partner Ronnie was running Gus and Basil with his Malamute Maya. That's Ronnie with us in part of the video.
The video gives an impression of the kind of terrain we had to cope with. In places it was deeply rutted by tank and jeep tracks and the ruts were frozen like iron. I'm amazed the rig survived. The last couple of images are of the dogs chilling in front of the fire having a well-deserved rest last night. Apologies for the video quality, but it's hard to hold a camera with one hand while steering over such uneven ground (LOL).
Huge Thanks to Matt and Steve of AMWA for organising the day and to their intrepid helpers and event marshalls.
