- My Story:
- The only time I spent without at least one dog was before marriage 18- age 23 so I have much experience.
I have a BA in art. I wrote 5 novels on Amazon 3 are primarily about dogs. I was an animal control officer 5yrs in my small NH town we had 7 shepherds. My husband was 8 yrs ACO after work. He died 2005. I waited till my elderly dogs passed and moved from NH to FL with the last one and lived there 10 yrs before the humidity made life difficult. While there I had the smartest shepherd I have ever owned and he passed away 2 months short of his 12th birthday in TN. I loved him so much. He got his CGC.
I moved to TN and weather is perfect for me here. I have 2 convertibles the other 2 states wouldn't be convertible friendly.
This new Pom pup is 16 weeks old & house trained. She's a real spitfire. Lots of personality and makes me laugh every day.
All my dogs are off-leash trained in my fenced yard and then brought to an intermediate OB class. If I have time I get them CGCs. Normally people "know everything" about dogs having owned a few but never 7 trained while fostering and training puppies for rescues and volunteering over 20 yrs at shelters.
I forgot more about dogs than most people know. Questions posed online cannot be solved with one answer. That's impossible. One barking dog is 100x different than another barking dog. For example: Great Pyrenees bark to alert flock owners to an intruder and often live with sheep. Small dogs tend to need more barking to get attention down to ankle level. One issue 2 dogs many ways to resolve.Interact
