- My Story:

I rescued this sweetheart about a month and a half ago. Which would've been in November 2019. She was abused very bad, and was kept in a kennel most of the time. Previous owner was planning on taking her to the pound, I ended up taking her and didn't pay him a dime. She's spoiled, she's happy, and I do not use a crate on her.
She is about 12 pounds, and she is full bred Shiba Inu. She is also not fixed, and just passed her second cycle. I'm having trouble with her a little, and trying to understand her breed. Hope this forum will help me be a better Mommy to babygirl!
My name is Alexis, Iam 25 years old born and raised in South florida. I work full time as a bartender, and full time as a great mom to my Shiba Inu. I grew up around dogs. Growing up we had a German Shepard, and a Golden Retriever. They both passed away at age 14. One due to cancer, the other was due to the passing of our first dog.
My boyfriend and I have a Pitbull terrier mix, but we are not living together anymore. He lives in Pennsylvania with our dog Ranger, and I"m here in Florida with Babygirl, whom I just rescued.
I've been around dogs my entire life, they are precious, beautiful, kind, loving animals. I love my dog as if she was my own child, (which I think she is).
Just here to meet fellow Shiba owners!! Let's share our stories together.
Excited to be part of the forum!Interact
