Does anyone know how I go about finding breed rescue centers? My Gran's yorkshire terrier has just passed away at aged 15 and I get the feeling she would like another dog, so I would like to investigate rescues but I am not having much luck finding anything. She would definately want another yorkie or maybe even a jack russell, but it would have to be a rescue as due to health problems she needs an older, less demanding dog, and one as small as possible / minature. dogs trust / rspca etc seem to all have large breeds in this area, any suggestions please?

HAVE YOU THOUGHT about the oldies club - they have dogs all over 7 yrs old and woul be perfect fpr your gran., and so many in need
Try going onto RescueRemedies - it's a forum website; we got Tee-J from the TerrierRescue section. At the moment there is a lovely terrierX on there - 18 years old, went missing, was found, rescued by the pound, the owners arranged to take him back and THEN THEY CHANGED THEIR MINDS! There is quite a few older dogs that are on there, and sometimes yorkies.
