The mum had papers saying she was a Pointer but she was no bigger than knee height. A small slender lab size. They took her on from a farmer who died. I'm sure the family gave them the wrong papers! Dad was more skinny legs than body. Think this pup was just a throw back from something long ago - his brothers & sisters were literally half his size. Genetics are so interesting.
Anyway as you said apart from a few scrapes - no body has lost out. He's got a good home waiting. My dog won't be bounced & turn into a snarly ankle biter & pup will be able to act naturally & develop well.

In my experence introducing a new pup to an existing dog is often an unpredictable event. My Akita pup still seems to think my pug is a chew toy. Puppy pens are great way to get dogs and puppies used to each other. All play times can then be supavised.
But maybe a smaller pal will be best for your little chi in the long run.
