Border Collie names General Chat

My collies are Dazzle and Dancer, I love different names it makes them more of an individual, my friends with collies are called, Cash, Star, Pearl, Rebel, Poppy, Brodie, Dodge, Bargee and so many many more I would be here all night typing them out.

Tara came with Tara, i HATE it for a collie!!!!
Then Nell /nellie , very traditional Then Flynn also traditional, Then decided i wanted a change a Chose Mav/ Maverick, which i think is a great Name, Mav really suits him.

my old colli x was called Dina (Deena) because we brought her with us from germany the writing of the name is different ..

our new Bc is called Tinkerbell..but shortened to Tinker or tinks.

I like traditional names for collies. One of mine is named Skye and Wisp was named after one of her ancestors who was a Dual Supreme Champion, plus I liked the name.

I tend to go for short names for my dogs as they are easier to call.

well are first collie we called her bessey .we choose the name on ,the way to collect her ,then when we got to the farm,there was a little girl there ,with her .i said have you choosen a name she said yes bessey lol i know spookey x

then came my hansum boy dylan
then came , my pretty girlie willow

i think people ,put lot more stock into names now ,not like years a go ,when they called them spot or buster (knowt wrong with these names lol )

I always said if i got a collie i'd call him Logan and thats what Felix was called... erm until he got the name Felix which just stuck! If only he hadn't acted so cat like!!

Indy was a toss up between Missy and Indy but she was to kick-ass for the name Missy!!!

Harry was names by my Mum coz he has spectacle markings like Harry Potter!

We call our B.C's

Whisper (Blue / White)
Sirius (Black /White)
Ice (Blue Merle)
Beth (White / Black) who is a rescue & completly deaf through being beaten & left for dead before we had her.

Dale, because it seemed a little different from the traditional Glen, and then we couldn't decide on a name for the next pup so asked on here Mike liked the suggestion of Chip and it seems to suit him.
Before this pair we had Sam. He was already answering to Sam when we collected him so it just didn't change.

Noahs a great name its also my sons name.

I dont have a collie but when I was a kid I always wanted one and to call it blake(now the OH wants that as name for the next kid we have )

i know a Noah Collie & a Blake Collie!!!!
