Hi Yellowstone, my heart is heavy for you & your dog. :-(
May i ask what the breeder actually said to you when you phoned them?

Thank you Kate - as I have said in the passed he was fine while he was with me, a little pushy and demanding but not aggressive.

Ursula - I can't believe how you have turned into such a barefaced liar!

Your husband wouldn't let you take back two of your pups - you even asked me to accompany you to pick it up. Because your husband wouldn't allow you to take back any of the pups you bred (even though he was happy to spend the money you make from them), as friend I offered to help you out by having them while we found new homes. The previous owner was suing you for breach of contract when you took the dog back as you resold the dog - from my home - and gave them very little reimbursement. I again had to step in and find the dog a new home later on, I delivered it to the new owner and NO I did not receive anything for that dog, not even my expenses. If I remember correctly a donation may have been made to TIDA rescue.

You well know that Cloud came back in a thin state and I have the photos to prove it. It took a long while to put condition back on that bitch and yes I did get attached to her, as she was grand daughter of one of mine. I did not particularly want to breed from her though as I don't like black and white NI. You will remember that I didn't like her the minute she was born - remember the time I spent with you on your very first litter???? It was ironic that she ended up with me as she shouldn't have been with me at all - she was your responsibility, not mine!

The one in Guernsey was rehomed with my help to someone who, yes, already had a pup from that litter, but who was it who talked to her in the first place and tipped you off. You may have spoken to the rescue kennel but I was liasing and the person has come to me frequently with problems with those dogs ever since.

Merlin never bit me at all! He might have got over excited on one occasion and had to be pinned down and held until he calmed down. He did nip my daughter once, when he was getting bolshy and wanting her attention, and as he was so big yes, she didn't like him, so that is one of the reasons I let him go to another home. My kids come first and I would never leave one in the house with a dog they were afraid of. As for social services, how come you know so much about that?????? My daughter never contacted them - although she was going through a rough time as my divorce was going through and the family was being divided and the house sold, which was very disrupting but has nothing to do with the dogs. So, was it you sending anonymous 'tip offs' ?? or one of your mates??

Stop trying to divert from the fact that you bred a litter of 9 pups and refused to take three of them back when the owners couldn't cope! Who have you got to help you now when you get pups thrown back at you????

I haven`t got involved in this particular thread, as i have no interest in breeding. But i just wanted to say i can remember clearly when Cloud came up for rehoming as she was advertised on one of the NI forums.. and what Sandra has said about the circumstances is 100% correct, as any of the other forum members at that time will also tell you. Sandra in fact.. is one of the VERY few NI breeders, that will even take other breeders puppies back to help with the rehoming.. as i`ve seen many times over the last three years i`ve known her, at her own expense.

Also i`d like to add.. i met Merlin first hand at Sandra`s house and many times after at shows and meets... she is correct in saying he was bolshy and dominant in his behaviour... but i never ever saw him as aggressive.

Here is the boy himself at a tida show 07... happily wondering around off lead meeting all the other people and dogs.. if he was so aggressive.. why on earth would he have been allowed to do that.

If that dog was in Sandra's care while those pic's were taken i'd be thoroughly ashamed of myself especially as you can see his ribs and hip bone!
Yeah merlin was well looked after wasn't he?
And before anyone says it yes I can see he's moulting but Isis is moulting now and has to have her weight kept down n she's not that thin!

Depends how long and why he was like that, you said your dog was very thin cos she wouldnt eat and you were very worried about her, I also saw a pic of a white NI at one of the shows, it was painfully thin, was it ill or starved?

What happens Jem is when you have lots of dogs for bredding for just financial gain you dont bother feeding the dogs individually and just throw loads of dried food in and they get what they can some get more some get less.

sandra you have lied and lied and lied again you have lost most of your friends because of your lies I am no longer going to bother to try and defend myself against your lies, you saw the pound signs and fully took advantage of me at a time when myself and my family were living in a caravan as our house had been flooded, you are now telling lies because of what? spite? because I was dissappointed at how you treated cloud, her puppies, Merlin and all the many other dogs you have never given a damn about, I decided to distance myself like everyone else you treated so badly. You are in it for the money, nothing else your benefits do not allow for you to be in any other position.
Move on to your next unsuspecting "friend" You used me and you know it!

Isis came to me in a appalling state she was taken to the vets monday morning 3 days after she came to me we put her on a proper diet plan of raw and complete 6/8 weeks later she was up to a good weight there's no excuse for it and it wont wash with me why he is that thin as he originally came from a decent home.

The only one i know like this was thin because they wouldn't eat. The owner took the dog to the vets and tried everything to get the dog to eat but they were just a very fussy eater.

Ela is thinish but is not from lack of trying  She doesn't look like Merlin does in those pics though . . . :(

Ive had my boy 6 months, he was pretty thin when he came to me but i do not believe he was ill treated or starved, he was a much loved dog by his previous owners but you could see his ribs. It has taken all these six months to get him to a weight or unable to see his ribs that i am happy with although my vet has never felt there was any need for my concern in this area, he thought he looked fine, seems to me vets prefer them on the lean side.

Some NI`s lose a LOT of condition when they moult.. (as does my Noah) as you can see from the pics Merlin was blowing his coat in the pics... he was like this when Sandra first had him... he gained a lot of condition by the time he left her... i`ll find a later pic of him.

My Noah... fed three meat meals a day and free fed dry complete.. still a skinny ribs at nearly 2 years old and this is him with a winter coat. Some NI seem to stay on the lean side.
