Sorry but that is disgusting!! Poor bloody dog!!! If I had the money I would take her in!! thats not right..
Who knows - she may well going to someone who wants a cheap N.I. Fancy selling a dog in that state. She should be staying with everyone she knows while she is recovering from the op....but then it doesn't sound like she has been very well looked after, thin, had her head stuck in a gate etc.
I have never seen a scare like that to remove fluid and I see lots but have seen scars like that to remove lumps and tumours.
I think they ment tumour but who knows. It's a huge scar, if the vet was removing fluid i very much doubt they would need an incision that big!
Am I being thick (dont answer that ) but do you not remove fluid with a syringe/or drain.. What the hell kind of fluid would take a vet to make a scar like that??????????? Poor dog........
yup that would be the normal way to do it...;-) never had to have it done with any of my dogs.. but have seen the vet do it with cows/horses.. normaly by syringe..then if its really bad a drain...{ofter the finger of a surgical clove cut of..then the tip of the finger so it acts as a drain. a small hole made in the area and the finger of the glove stitched in..} sure they have far better drains... but I have seen this method used in farms..... still only a small scar though.. more like a slit.
No your not being think. Yes they would use a drain. My last dog impailed himself on a iron railing (don't ask ), it went in one end and came out 8 inches further along...he had two drains and no extra holes....obviously he arrived at the vet with openings ready for drains to be fitted.
Sorry.... I read this as a TRAUMA (spelled wrong but that's how it read) which caused a fluid build up. And the owner is selling due to injury to the owner so she can no longer cope. Don't get me wrong, not sure I believe every word said (and that scar looks way too big) but that's how I read it, not a tumour but a trauma and not being sold due to the dog being injured, but due injury to the owner. Not saying it's right... just not sure if we got the wrong end of the stick...
