Alano Espanol as known as Perro de Presa Espanol / Presa de Toro Espanol / Spanish Alano / Spanish Bulldog .
Yep I agree Anne, it is one breed I have always really admired. Are there or have there been any in the UK to date? Laura
Alano Espanol A molosser, work breed used in Spain to hold wild or half-wild cattle, for large game hunting and for guarding properties. Temperament Great with children, the family and with other pets. Dominant with other dogs and agressive. Very obedient and submissive to its master. Very well balanced and protective and will not hesitate to take action against any strange activity . There are different opinions on if the Alano Espanol and Perro De Torro ( Spanish Bulldog ) is the same breed, but most people that are involved in the Alano, and the ANCAE ( Asociacion Nacional de Criadores del Alano Espanol ) regards the Perro De Torro as just a heavier version of the Alano Espanol.
Lovely dogs! Nice proportions, not so keen on the cropped ears though just my personal preference. Not used to seeing them like that I guess!
Wow they are beautiful! Can't help thinking Spanish Mastiff would suit them better than Spanish Bulldog though
