I didn't say NID's hold the monopoly on looking wolfy, I replied to a thread and you got all pissy at me for it, why? Cuz your feelings are hurt about Mals? What is it? I'm just trying to understand. I'm thinking maybe you're the one that needs to get over your NI complex, nobody is taking anything away from your Mals.
So, JK said that NIDs were not bred to look wolfy - I don't care, that is something that I do like about them. I don't have a problem admitting it! With all the breeds I considered owning, I was originally attracted to them for their looks, after doing research I chose the right breed for my family!

I found it all over the internet, it's amazing how much you can find when you spend months searching this wonderful thing called the World Wide Web! I also talked and corresponded with many owners of each the breeds I researched! Before researching the dog breeds, I researched wolf-hybrids, there are plenty of breeders in the US, after my research, I decided a wolf-hybrid wasn't for our family.

I BET YOU ARE, RESEARCHED YOUR BREED, BUT DIDN'T EVEN THINK TO CHECK FOR MISLEADING INFO ON YOUR SITE

Any reasonable person that has reviewed my website would know that we have only one NI, and that we are not breeding NI dogs. For you to take a sub-link to a blog and generalize our entire status on it is ridiculous. Last time I checked Quila was not capable of asexual reproduction!

oh siren,if i may say, you have a very selective memory, i actually e mailed you about your intentions with quila and you replied yes your intention was to breed, i have no reason to lie...you had quila 3 months when that web site was made, obviously who eva put it together for you wouldn't have called you a breeder unless that conversation hadn't come up, poor pup, future already mapped out by the sound of it ! i'm interested in how you couldv'e got permission to breed anyway cause its not like anyone from here wouldv'e made a journey to check quila over in the flesh...or is pictures enough now a days, virtual northern inuits, lol sounds good to me pmsl x

I have never denied wanting to breed her (very good for picking up on that ;-) ) I have only stated that I AM NOT A BREEDER! And that I AM NOT CURRENTLY breeding!! My intentions are to breed if she is approved after her tests and evaluation! Maybe you should read back over the email I sent you! I did say if she is approved.

When im out on walks with my husky i often over hear people saying that's a wolf and to me that does rather pee me off because i cant see really any resemblence of a wolf in him other than his big brown eye's other than that he's just a big cuddly white patchy husky (id love him no matter what he looked like). But i can't dissagree on the subject that some dogs do look more wolfy than others normaly yes the ni and the ute are the more wolfy resembeling looking one's but id say only a fair small amount of them do. Either way all dogs are related to wolves so any of them could have the tendancy to look wolfy weather it's pulling a slight expression or just looking significantly alike.

I have voted no, i have never seen any that look like a wolf on here or other forums or breeders sites which is sad as i read they were bred to resemble the wolf, i was very happy when i found out about the breed years ago as i love wolfs, but they all just looked like crosses or GSDs with different markings, some look like husky cross mals, but thats what they are!

i have seen 1 wolfy looking one, which i helped re-home and belongs to someone on this site (maybe im biased though )

and have seen a couple of uts that looks like they could be wolf crosses (1 owned by someone on here and a couple on another forum)

i have seen quite a few sibes & mals that look very wolfy though.

i actually think that Belgian Shepherd groendael & tervuren look more wolfy!

reguarding the health of the Ni/Ute breeding not that i am anywhere clued up on it, but GSD's can suffer with: Elbow & Hip Dysplasia, haemophilia A. Alaskan Malamutes: Hypothyroidism also says hip & eye testing. Siberian Huskys: Hips, thyroid function, eye test pups & parents & deafness.

seeing as NIs come from the 3 mains breeds, shouldn’t they be tested with all of the above before being bred? (info dogs today & internet)

Kind of very tall long legs, long body, not much hair on them, but more hair on the upper body, short but fluffy tail, very slender long nose, and smallish ears, deep dark ambery/browney eyes lol

I am positive that all candid NI dog researchers will be able to find the identical information that I did. They will be able to communicate with the same people that I did 2 years ago. In the end my compilation contained diverse opinions and experiences from differing factions (organized and other). As with all breeds there are pros and cons. I am sure these same people would be willing to share their opinions with genuine people that are not simply trying to eradicate the dog-world from all the "impure" breeds - those that do not contain the ideal characteristics, i.e.: pale skin, blue eyes, and blonde hair. I believe my best research has been living with Quila for the last year, she has been the best dog we have ever owned, definitely the most intelligent and trainable. She is the perfect fit for our family!
