    English or American Staffordshires?

Hi, im in need of some help, i recently bought 2 x staffies, the breeder told me they were english, but after taking them to the vet, she seems to think they may be American, they were born 20.03.2008, they seem to be getting a little to big to be English, can anybody help out please? The tan is the female and the blue is the male. The first 3 pics are at 14 weeks and the last pic of the blue was at 8 weeks.

They are to young to tell, are they from the same litter, if so I am suprised the breeder let you have two together, did you have any paperwork with them like a pedigree or may be even a KC registration. They look lovely pups BTW

PS. see you say 2 x staffies did you mean you had a pair or that they were sold to you as Staffie crosses?

Well there not Northern Inuits

They are very special beautiful dogs.

Just a word of warning be careful how you phrase things. If you say American Staff thats quite often used instead of American Pitbull and all it takes it some eejit to get the wrong end of the stick and will have authoritys on your door.

Lovley pups, the boy seems to have a very soulful face for such a little lad!

There seems to be some confusion as to if the american staffy is just a American Pit Bull Terrier. The AKC and the KC duel reg as both breeds?

    Found a pic of a 13 week old american staff and they do look a bit a like . . . .

Hi, yes they were both from the same litter, it was quite dark when we picked them up, I saw the mother and she looked English, my huband saw the father and he said he was quite large. They didnt have papers.
    By 2 x i meant I had 2 puppies!

They are gorgeous pups! Especially love the last pic of the blue one :)

They don't look like my staffy (she has a much wider head) but if anyone asks you what they are just say they are staffies. Full stop. Don't say American staffy because like it was said earlier, people will assume they are Pitbulls and they could be taken away from you.

I've had people telling me my staffy is a pit bull (probably because she is pretty big for a staffy) but as she is fostered to me through the Dog's Trust it's not a problem. They can think what they like

Have fun with your staffies - I bet you don't get much sleep with all the snoring

Hi Yes pitbulls are banned in Australia too, thats what concerns me, i should have bought dogs with papers so I have proof of what they are!
