    Dawn, wonderful piccies and stunning dogs. I love the Borders coats. Alot of other wire coated terriers seem to have less consistency within the breed with regards to coats. Most of the Borders that I meet have wonderful hard wiry coats, there doesn't seem to be this consistency in some other terrier breeds. I was at the Irish Terrier Breed Day last year and the variation in hair texture and coat quality was very noticable (and most of these dogs were handstripped). Border breeders appear to be doing a good job maintaining coat type :grin: . Is this the case or am I just meeting well bred dogs?

    Coats are pretty good Olive, you do get the odd exception, but coats are very important in Borders, most people try to keep them decent. it will be a shame if the Irish's coat becomes poor, that beautiful rich red colour is super, i hope they can keep it consistent and maintain the quality.

    Here is my boy Ben. He is a fantastic dog, good with kids, adults other dogs and is not scared of anything. He is also extremely affectionate! A real wee terrier:

    Lovely photos, I used to have Borders years ago and did think about getting another when I saw a breeders dogs in a French magazine. Don't quite know what my Danes would make of one though.
