When; Your house isn't trashed, and is relatively neat Your sofa still has all throws and cushions on, and they haven't been kicked off You can actually leave food on the countertops in the kitchen You do not have to remove anything destroyable when you leave the room You can bring the shopping in on a Friday without attempting to baracade the door from a romping dog, aswell as bring the bags in Your cats can saunter around the house without being piled on and licked to death You wake up to a thumping stump and adoring eyes rather than a liver and white furling nightmare trying to climb on your head and licking your face. Ralph was 2 last week [gone too fast] and suddenly I've noticed how different the house is. Ah well; just means we need to start the manic cycle off all over again;-)
Of course you enjoy the chaos when you own English Springers! They never change, their chaos just becomes a little more co-ordinated; or maybe it's just you notice the patterns of when a burst of mental is about to burst out.
yes i remember my Sam(my old springer) being the same I have to say that Jazzie has all of a sudden become sensible too - something i never thought would happen
I'm still living in chaos My carpets have been changed to laminate because of the mess, and you can't see the top of the fireplace because when someone leaves the room we have to put anything not nailed down up there! Somedays I wish I'd got another cocker spaniel as they can't reach so high! As Charlie is only 11mths I've got a while to go until he calms down and I get my house back
lol mine is 8 1/2 months old and i thought he was just mad, im glad it is normal, im glad he sleeps in his cage in the night and i wake up sane knowing my kitchen is still intact
I don't think my six will ever grow up Their ages range from just under 2yo to 10yo Just as well I love chaos! and mud....
lmao!! millies 19 months she stillsteals food she still steals socks/underwear as she passes the radiator - and runs round teh garden with them,,, and if shes feeling really nice she buries them too.... she still throws cusions off the settee and the throws off too,,, so yeah - my springers still ababy - i dont think this one will ever grow up
