    Longdogs are running dog x running dog (so saluki/gh, or gh/wh or deerhound/gh)

    lurchers are pastoral dog x running dog (so collie/gh, or beardie/wh, or collie/wh/gh)

    Terrier x wh/gh are generally called whirriers....

    so now you know :)

    I would say Ben is a JRTx Springer Spaniel.
    But whatever he is, he is very handsome.

    Modern day Lurchers are any sighthound x any other breed, not just pastoral ;-)

    Here's my Foxy Roxy.....She was found on the streets so we have no idea for sure what her cross is. Possibly Basneji/Collie/Whippet/Jack Russell.....Any other ideas?

    Do you think I could sell her for hundreds of pounds claiming that she's a Basollie? :lol: ;-)

    I'd say there was definitely a spitz/husky type in Foxy Roxy!
    Anyhow, here are my crossbred mutts!
    This is a bit fuzzy, but we think Dan is Dobermann x Whippet/Greyhound x Beauceron x some kind of terrier! That's the best we can do as he's a rescued stray :-(

    This is Myrtle (don't laugh!) who is a Lurcher - probably Border Collie x Deerhound, but she's too young to tell at the moment. She was part of an abandoned litter in Ireland.

    oooh so ive got a traditional longdog, nice to know.
    all i know for sure is he is a big rascal who thinks he is king of the world!!

    Rex is lovely. Possibly Yorkie cross Cairn/Westie perhaps? Just a thought.

    possible, hes quite big, he weighs 13 kg and has long legs and a curly up tail, if u know what i mean

    Heres Scout, Terrier x Spaniel...Bichon maybe??? She is completely deaf and taking the world by the tail.... in typical Terrier fasion!

    Hi all,
    This is Taki from Cambodia. This minx conned me out of a one-way ticket to UK with Thai Airways and 6 months quarantine in Chingford.....easily the toughest dog I have owned, the one that taught me the most and the one that has most got right 'under my skin'....her parents were feral/pariah
