oh i never knew the colour could change, didnt know white could grow out, but surely if parent look similar it would stay? also could stripe grow? cos its the one thing i really like when the blak on face is seperated by white. i know the toning is up to me, but i mean if parent r nice and how id like, it would b easier to shape up the pup to look similar?

See the picture in my Avator that was a little pied bitch which was in my last litter. I saw a picture of her the other day and you wouldn't think it was the same dog. Her markings were the same but where she had red spots she was more brindle now and the patch on her head had gone further over her eye. I'll try find a picture of her for you to see.

ok one more Q....how many of u have more than 1 staffy? and how did u introduce the pup? Winston has the run of the kitchen, and i dont like crates or kennels, so would i have to constanly seperate them in 2 different rooms wen i go out? even when the pup is older i mean. im worried Winston may b too rough with the pup at 1st but if i seperate them for too long winston will bark down the house!!! lol Basically i would like them to live side by side eventually, both have run of kitchen. not having to seperate them wen i go out? just wondering how u lot keep ur dogs, and how u introduced a pup :D

I do as do others on the board :D
I would seperate them from an early age- its not just Winston who may be rough- pups can be too- believe me

Mine used to be in seperate rooms when I was out- now they are both crated due to havine a male and a bitch and the male weeing when left alone ( due to a bitch in heat) :D
    Doesnt do it now :D

staffies dont do great in kennels unless they are heated. mine are sissies and they hate the wet or cold weather so they are crated indoors.
Crates are the best thing since sliced bread, my dogs all love their crates, they have a nice bed and a blanket draped over the top to make it more like a den, they are quite happy to lie all day and chew a bone or sleep. crating makes life so much easier, it confines mess hair and smell to one area, and you always know the dogs are safe and secure, you can pop out for a few hours, do the housework (yeah RIGHT lol I never do any!! ) or whatever, I advise anyone with a couple of dogs to consider using crates, I think they are fab

well as for introducing them i brought buds home when candy was 5.5 months and theyve loved each other ever since, apart from when shes bashing him over the head with something!!lol .i think its cos theyre different sexes they get on great, but i eventually want another stffy bitch soo..lol :D

so do u advise seperating them all their life when i go out? or just at 1st? how old should the pup be b4 i start letting them stay together for long periods? i dont really have enough room for crates, so it would be the good ol' baby gates!!! lol also if i get winston snipped! aww would he bother bout the bitch being in heat?

with regards to seperation its best to do from an early age so both are used to it- some dogs can never be left alone together but depends on individual dogs
