Ruby's 14" and Minnie's going through her leggie stage and must be just over that now.

Ruby is tiny though in every other way too, she proper girlie girlie and very petite.

hey ppl, i know i posted this somewhere else to, but i thought here ill get double the info! :D right....is it true u cant reg a kc if it been bred more than once a yr? i got a contact off one of the owner and went to have a look at pied kc reg staff today.....was very disappointed, the mother was only 18 months and already had 3 litters!! she also has a v small head, more terrier. she sed it was bread standard...but i dunno, wat do u think? she also had 7 staffs in total all piled ontop of each other in crates. HOWEVER i have found the most beautiful pied pups EVER (imo) BUT they r not kc reg. is there n e way i can get the reg with a dif registration thingy? also wat sorts of Q's do u thing i should b asking these ppl....they aint had eye tests...as they unregistered? and even if they r unreg. is it possible to show them at all? here's where i found em.....

    Lovely pups

If they are not KC registered you cannot show them except in exemptin shows or Companion dog shows. This is what I am doing with my rescued staffie Jas.

Any other form of registration is not worth it. It means absolutely nothing.

try the kennel club website with regards to the breeding proceedure cos I'm not sure on that bit.

no mum was 18months and dad was 3, apparently this litter was an accident, the mother had no split in her head wat so ever, i know she a is a staff cos of the papers...but a decent pedigree nope. i also just contacted an owner who is refusing to register his pups with kc even though both parents r registered!!! V annoying!! Staffy, how old can the dog b if u wanna register with the Companion thingy at kc? i have fallen in love with the 1's on free ads, but i dunno just simply cos they r unreg, and i would like the chance to show, even if i choose not to, the option is still there. ALSO i spoke to a lady who breeds staffs, and she sed, the pups cannot be registered unless the parents eye tests were clear!?! is that true? so therefore should all kc automatically have had eye tests in order to be kc'd? she also sed u couldnt register the pups if she had more than 1 litter a yr...however this wasnt the case with the pups i went to see. LEL ive also been told u could put me in contact with some reputable breeders?! :D if n e one else could do the same i would b very grateful! :D

hey CatahoulaBullTerrier, i have a irish staffXstandard staff, and i dont know much about lines or pedigree's behind them to know what im getting, i know u lot think im a inexperienced danger to the breed! lol but i am learning, and i do have experience with my own staff with handling these dogs, but thats as far as my experience goes. i mean if u have contact details of a reputable Irish staff breeder, then i am certainly insterested. however if i was to look for myself im am too inexperienced with pedigree and bloodlines and so forth, that i could b sold a cat instead of an irish staff!! lol

some people dont even test so thats not true- but you shouldnt breed from a carrier of the cataract gene anyway

IE you need to make your mind up about whether you want a KC or an irish Staffy so that breeders will start to take you seriously - just incase they assume you are wasting their time

im def more interested in the KC but if i do get a contact/come across some genuine Irish staff's then i will also enquire, However they seem to be going for alot more that a standard staff. but that maybe just where i was looking (ie adtrader, freeads etc) i saw some blues going for £1200 which is way OTT generally i have seen em for bout 600-650. and for all i know they could b pits so i think unless i get a contact info of a genuine irish staff breeder i may steer clear

A decent breeder will not need to advertise on adtrader/freeads
They will already have a list of prospective owners before the pups are born and defintaely soon after theyre born

yer ive slowly but surely found that out!! lol but thing is i have no contacts of decent breeders to put my name on list....hence why im here!!! to completely annoy u ppl! lol how do i tell if they r good breeders as ive come across a few on the net, like champ dogs, but how do i find out whos reputable and whos not? i know i sound v inexperienced and i am, but im still very serious about buying a decent well bred pup...and am not willing to pay more than 500 quid for one

Trust me CBT people are that gullible enough and pay that sort of money for blues. Stupid I know. I know of 2 people who paid ridiculas money for blues and a breeder who produced 2 blues and you wouldn't believe how much she sold them for

see my original budget was 300-350, but ive spoke to so many ppl who sed i wouldnt get a decent kc staff for that, and im looking to pay 500, which is a tad out of my price range, but for the perfect pup, ie, good bloodlines, good looking and temprement eye tested etc, i will pay 500. some ppl may call me stingey and thinking im expecting too much for my money but its already way over my original budget, and its not that i cant afford, im just not willing to pay it!

my perfect looking staff would be toned, defined muscle, not ott so it looks like it could fall over! lol not too tiny and nice chunky head...no out of proportion with its body of course...and the perfect could is either pied, with a black patch over 1 eye, or something like Alports Force of Nature Rooney, which i found on champdogs, i like the thick white stripe down the face, white neck a nd chest and at least 1 white sock...........see what i mean when i say im picky with colour!! lol

see in my experience so far....paying more seems to get u everywhere!! lol ok i dont know bout bloodline and stuff, but for 400 quid...yer i can find a kc reg pup....but breeders aint even heard of eye tests!!! 300-350 get me an unreg, or a kc MILES away, which ill end up spending at least another 50quid getting to. 500 seems to be the going rate, mind u i have seen some for 450, but to be honest its a hell of alot more im spending already than my original budget, ppl say wats another 100 quid but its a couple of months worth of food for my dog, its enough to buy collar, lead, bedding, toys etc

i do apologise for going on :D

Thing is IrishEyes you could buy a pup wich met your criteria but as it grew it could be the exact opposite to what your looking for.

Even the colours can change. When Minnie was born she had the thickest white stripe down her face and now there's only a few white hairs left. As for being well toned, well thats up to you
