Gosh she looks so young there! must be about 5 weeks?

Glad to hear it is all going well with Anya. Lovely pictures of your two. Is she an easy puppy? I can't get over how easy Bo is compared to my Lab as a pup. Not desctructive, not bitey, happy to settle down. She is great. :)

I was judging at an HPR test yesterday and my second placed dog was a slovak! In fact he was only beaten for first place by a half mark - (first and second were tied, but as the other dog had the better hunting mark, that dog just edged it)
What a pleasure that dog/handler team was to watch - real hair on the arms tingling stuff! made my day it did!

Yes, it was a long trip, picked her up at 6.30pm Sat and got home 6.45am Sunday morning, to be fair we stopped every 45 mins or so, and were in no hurry as our ferry was at 4.30am from Weymouth, everytime she whimpered we pulled over and got her out and each time she needed the loo, Bless!! We had a fair old hang around at the docks too, although she was sick once whilst on the road. She did have an accident in her crate on the ferry, you're not allowed down on to car deck whilst at sea and it was very rough, most people onboard were ill, good thing was she had plenty of room to sleep the other side and we are only 2 minute drive other side. Introduced her to our terrier then took her into garage and the garden, if i am honest she settled very quickly (Shattered i would imagine!!) Although she was very bold and made herself at home, far more than i expected!! I do have photos but not sure how to put them on here?? We have named her Cheska!! She's a sweetie!! As they all seem to be, we fell in love with a little boy puppy whilst there too!!

Sounds like quite the journey; rather you than me!!

As for pictures, you need to host them online. I use Photobucket (www.photobucket.com). You create an account and then upload your pictures from your computer to the internet. Then you can post a link to them for viewing online.

    Look forward to seeing her!

Bo is great thanks. She is a bit...erm...loose at the moment, which I'll mention to the vets when she goes for her second jab on Wednesday. She is also not a fan of her crate and has to be lured in at night. Apart from that she is a star.

    Look forward to the pics.

Hi, Anya like how Mishka was as a puppy is a great easy to train, lovely tempered, well behaved puppy. My first ever dog was a lab so i know where you are coming from.

She has no problem in the crate now i have one by my bed which she sleeps in & one in the lounge that both Slovaks & cat go in when they want.

Ive started to do clicker training with Anya, she loves it & is really keen its great to watch & is fun for the dog also i find it the quickest way to train. She has learnt Sit, Watch (look at me) Down, Come & Leave which i will stick with for now to reinforce. Later on i will introduce whistle commands for Come & Sit.

Here is a vid with her Mishka & Mia her Siamese cat, they have a great relationship im sure Mia think shes a dog.

Are you going to the Slovakian Rough Haired Pointer Fun Day on 22nd August?

Gosh...I feel like a neglectful dog mum as I have taught Bo exactly nothing yet. Well, apart from her name. Must get cracking...

Loved the video. My cats won't let the dogs within 3ft of them, so you must have a tolerant one.

Norfolk is a bit far from me unfortunately. 3-4 hours there and back is a bit much in one day. Looks like brilliant fun though; maybe one day when she is grown.

Well, after reading your post, Dawn, I did a bit of training with Bo. She nows knows 'sit' (with the aid of some hot dogs). She got it in about all of 2 minutes. I don't anticipate any trouble in training her...she is as smart as a whip.

Cool 8) they are so easy to train aint they as you say. They are well smart as a breed. They also enjoy to learn so why not start from an early age teaching some basics.
I cant wait to be able to take Anya out with Mishka she will love it, the big world outside.
Have you got anymore pics for us to see?
