    Hi Tony,

I'm so sorry you are having to re-home your dog. I agree with eskababe, please call Mick at the breed club to notify them.

Can I ask why you don't have papers but know it's a stormdancer dog?

do you know who the sire and dam are?

Coming to the problem of lack of garden, this is more for other potential future slovak owners than yourself, as I don't know your personal situation, I also don't have much of a garden and just have a courtyard. I'm finding that if I'm structured with Grey with a couple of little training sessions of say 10 mins and two walks per day, he sleeps the rest. I've read the behaviourist Dr Ian Dunbar says that big dogs are often better in small properties than small dogs because larger dogs can have lower energy levels. Dogs are also a type of animal that is capable of sleeping 24 hours per day and just waking to eat. So you might find he settles down.

    Hi there

We know he is a Stormdancer dog because it was from there we got him, i was working in the area and delivered to them everyday for a year and the subject was brought up about a young pup who was being left tied up all day long while his owners were out working and i said i would be interested in having him. The lady who runs Stormdancers brought the dog to me after collecting him from the previous owners and the rest is history.

Hence no papers and very little information on him

As for his walks he used to go out in the morning when i got up around 5am the he would play in the garden all day often till late at night. He has so much energy it is unreal and although he has all this he is very good if given space to play. Hence the big garden !!!!

I think he needs a farm or similar to play in ;-)

I will do a search for Mick and the breed club number and let them know.

    thank you

    Hi Tony,

I wonder why you can't have papers for him if it was one of their dogs.

How old was he when you got him? Sounds awful that he was tied up all day. Really makes the case for thoroughly vetting prospective new owners.

I hope Mick and the breed club can be of some help. I'm sorry you are going through problems.

    Hi Tony,

Perhaps he isn't a stormdancer puppy and was a rescue from elsewhere and just brought there? If he was a stormdancer pup would you know who the parents are?

How are you getting on looking for a home for him? Have you tried other forums or the breed club? How about Stormdancer?

Hope something turns up soon. Better for him to be settled in a new forever home.

Im not totally sure if his history but it was defo Stormdancer that he came from, and it was the lady who owned it as she delivered him to me.

I have contacted the breed club by email but not heard anything back a of yet.

Im sure a new home will come soon for him

I spoke with stormdancer owner and she says she often helps out with rescue. so perhaps she's saying it's not one of hers, but she rehomed it. Because if it was one of hers it should come with papers. Otherwise, where does he come from the little love?

Have you tried the email address mickheap1@yahoo.co.uk ? Try calling them if you don't get through on email.

hi tony sorry to hear you are rehoming your dog ,is he ok with cats, kids, dogs ect.i will ask around for you ,are you just rehoming him or have you got to find homes for your other dogs. as for papers it normal practice not to give them if you didnt pay for him as some people would have him for breeding and making money but it should'nt be to hard to find out where he came from if you know how old he is or has he been micro chip as that will also help to trace him . bye for now ros diva and maggie

    Hi there

we only need to rehome him as the other two are younger and they are happy with short walks< Mastiffs have trouble with there knees if walked to far for to long, so they are fine.

Its just Digby who needs the space, he is constantly running up and and down all day and this never seems to wear him out even with long walks too but before he had a big garden and was happier.

We have 2 children so he is good with them but he does bounce when meeting new people but will settle down, think he is still a pup really  As for cats he wants to play with them and we have 6 !!! So i would say he is ok  And he loves other dogs too .

He is between 22mths to 2 yrs old and i beleive he is chipped but never checked as he is rarely left alone.

    Hi Ros,

Grey's op went fine. He was running round like a mad thing by the evening. The vet said he could also see he had ridged and patchy enamel on the rest of his baby teeth, indicative of being poorly when little before he got his teeth. He hopes for Grey that when he gets his adult teeth through that they will be ok. Not sure they do dentures for dogs!

He's fine now. Back playing with his best friend nelly the springer last couple of evenings. So looks like he's ok. He's crashed out on the sofa now.

Hope you all enjoying a good weekend.

hi lou thanks for letting us know grey,s ok and back to his happy old self it was intresting to hear he'd been ill at a early age . lets hope his teeth will come through now with no problems , maggie has caused us some worry as i heard her chewing something and when i looked it was a coke can and the silly little sod only went and ate a bit of it because she know i was going to take it off her, so i've got little cuts all over my hands because i had to try and tape the can back together to see how bigger bit she'd eaten luckly it was'nt that big but it must have been sharp, this hapened saturday evening and she seem ok so far,but why have they got to do such stupid things nuts the lot of them well bye for now ros and the tribe
