Gun trainning - Best age? Training

    Gun trainning - Best age?

    hi folks

    Does any one know at what age i should introduce my cocker to live ammunition as i have been trainning her on blanks and she doesnt bat an eye lid at these so i thought it might be time to move up to the reall thing but didnt want to do any damage if she isnt old enough she is 5 months.

    My friends Springer called Charlie was trained from day one with live ammunition.He used to bring him along to shoots we were at so he got used to gunshot-now he flushes and retrieves for us! :lol:

    She's plenty old enough, but shes young for hard training yet.

    I only want to get her used to the noise i have only been doing basic trainning with her as i dont want to push her to hard..

    If she's fine with blanks, she's going to be fine with gunshot. Just do the same with gunshot as you have done with the blanks.
