Me too, I have traditionally docked breeds, Dobes and Vizslak and, although I have had them docked and undocked, I am quite happy to see both breeds with tails. I have also been involved with Boxer Rescue for over 20 years and have only had one rescued Boxer have a problem with his full tail.

I wont be signing either, hardly suprising as I`m one of the people who has actively fought for a ban as a member of the ADA and as an individual for many years before joining the excellent ADA.
I wont be happy until there is *total* ban, the sooner the better.

Like I'd sign that eh Dawn :smt002 I used to run the Society for the Promotion of Undocked Dogs! Have qualified 2 tailed examples of traditionally docked dogs for Crufts in the past as well!

some dock for cosmetic reasons, where as most working breeds that are docked are done for the safey of the dog.

here are 3 example's why dogs should still be docked.







this is the suffering and pain that dogs go through if they are not docked.

This isn't having a go at anyone, however why do those anti docking feel the need to voice their disagreement on it on this thread?:? Sorry i know everyone is entitled to an opinion, freedom of speech etc..but this isn't a debating thread:? This is giving a link to a petition to stop the ban on docking for those who support it, so why not just ignore the post if you disagree. We've had soo many docking debates, there is no need to turn this into one.

there are only few working dogs on there rest are as what i would call them cosmetic dogs?

i work my dogs and for there safety they should be docked.

But there is an exemption for working dogs so I really don't see why there needs to be a petition.
