There are three sizes of Poodle, and they all come under the same group 'Utility' this to me and I would think others is very strange as the standard Poodle, one would think belongs in the Gundog Group and the Toy well surely that should be in the Toy. Then there are the miniature, not the smallest of the sizes as one may think but the middle one, and these are the pictures I am uploading now. For you information:- Toys under 11" at the shoulder Miniature over 11" but under 15" at the shoulder Standard taller than the miniature but usually much taller, they are big dogs. Their appearance belies their true temperament they are real comics not at all the sophisticated ornament they sometimes appear. The fact that in times now past they were used in circus and on stage suits them really well, they love performing and understand applause. Below Miniature yearlings in the show ring
I love these dogs the apricot one looks just like my red. I call him beautiful boy, he looks just like a girl.
I love poodles, but I dont like to see them all pom pomed up. I would rather see them looking natural with short curly fur without the shaven bits.
Agree, I prefer them in the lamb cut but as there is good reason for the way they are clipped and it is held dear by the breeds admirers I suppose we have to accept there reasons for the way the show dogs are clipped. But we don’t have to like it
I have had 2 toy poodles - they are the Border colliesof the small world, bright, funny, ready for anything.... Great for agility etc. Katia
