Yep...Lola's love of water began with sitting in her water bowl when she was still small enough to fit in it, progressed to puddles (the muddier the better) once she was old enough to be out and about and very quickly extended to any body of water at all She had her first swim at about 14 weeks old and we try to ensure she can have a swim at least once or twice a week, more in warm weather. The only time she's not so keen on water is when it is contained within a bath
Let me know when your around and we will meet. How about some pictures from you - we haven't had any lately.
Just had to post on the Newfy thread! I am owned by 6 Newfs..... Have owned the breed since 1986, current dogs are - Myra - 11.25 year old Black with white feet Female Cowan - 8.5 Black Male Spice - 6.75 Year old Black Female Lukas - 4 Year old Brown Male Baxter - 18 month old Black Male Bo - 18 month old Black female Myra is Cowan's mum, Baxter and Bo are littermates and are grandkids of Cowan..... Spice is Lukas' mum. Myra, Cowan, Spice & Lukas are all show Champions. Cowan and Lukas are currently the proud daddies of two litters, Cowan has 5 sons and 2 daughters (from this recent litter) all black and Lukas has 2 sons and 4 daughters (from this recent litter) all brown. I truly think Newfies are the best breed for families, and couldn't imagine my life without them. Megan
Hi "gotsomedogs" nice to see other newfie people, Welcome to dogsey and have you any pictures of your lot i would love to see them all.
Megan, Welcome to Dogsey - Wow, six Newfies that's fantastic, how do you manage when walking them on lead? I know of someone in Wales who has six. She just drive to a private beach and opens the back doors. We have two, and yes they are truly wonderful creatures. Our youngest can really 'talk with her eyes' If you have the technology please post a piccie or two.

Hi folks! I'm a fan of Newfs, at least for now (I've never seen one except in pictures, so I don't really know if they'd be too big for me or not). I loved the dog in the movie Finding Neverland, Barrie's Newf - Bear. I don't know much about the breed other than that they're very sweet and gentle, which is almost enough for me ! I'm always eager to learn more about any dog breed, though.
