Awwwwww they're just the best! My o/h just loves these dogs as somebody has one opposite his garage workshop and he sees him everyday and gives him big cuddle. :smt049
and a big sloopy kiss....believe me you get wet through. if nothing else life is not dull with a leo.
Ridiculous if you ask me, some people don't know a good dog owner when it's staring them in the face. At least you've got your BC to look forward to! (Call it Bronte, call it Bronte!)
They are gorgeous dogs - my OH saw a picture of one for the first time yesterday - Leon on the Holistic Pet Supplies webpages - and was totally smitten He doesn't think you could keep one unless you have a mansion house though - I appreciate that they are very big and living with one on a small flat/maisonette is probably not advisable - but are they suited to an average family-sized house - as long as there is a big enough garden to romp in, and suitable daily exercise?
we have a 3 bed detached and 2 leo's i know of some who have big gardens etc but you will be surprised how many do live in the average sized house. holly breeder lives in a smaller house than us she has 4! as for exercise they don't need alot 1/2 hour a day an hour at most. if you want any info just pm me. as long as you take them out each day like all dogs they adapt to the size honest! if you want leo's look on the leonberger owners club site there is loads of leo pic including mine in the members section.
Perhaps i shouldnt have lost weight, then maybe it might have looked like i was strong enough to handel one! Yey my BC cant wait! Bronte is on my list!
What a great website, thanks - I have enjoyed browsing the piccies - I love seeing the Leo's in harness to pull a carriage - they look so pleased with themselves as if they are saying "Look how much they trust me!"
