Can anyone who is knowledgable in French Bulldog colouring, give me your opinion on what colour you think this lighter tan coloured pup is in these pictures.
It can be difficult to tell the eventual colour of a puppy at the time of registration. I used to have Löwchens and lots of these did not match their registered colours. My dark brindle and white male was registered as a black and white, and my black and silver bitch was registered as black and gold! All you can do is make a best guess. In your breed, Fawn covers a really wide range of shades, so that is probably the colour that I would choose. The only other way would be to delay registration and see whether the colour shows signs of deepening or fading over the next few weeks. The KC are reported to be quick with registration these days.
