Hi all, Im new and hoping to meet other dog lovers, especially of the American Eskimo breed (which appears to be missing from the breed list-puzzling). I come from a family of hobby breeders of mini and toy poodles and discovered the American Eskimo breed quite by accident. We were looking to adopt a grown dog, either rescue or other and I responded to a Craigslist ad giving away a 1 year old AKC male eskie to the most compelling essay on why I should be picked as the dogs new Mom. I won and the rest is history. I now own Dad, Mom, and 1 offspring(a male with a blue eye that is not registerable). I would own 10 if I could take care of them. Last litter produced only one pup , a fat, happy girl who now lives with my daughter and her family in a big old house in the country.
