I cannot help, sorry, as I am a raw feeder. Hopefully someone more knowledgeable than I will be around soon and can advise you. In the meantime the following site is a good place for unbiased reviews:

Well how is he doing on the taste of the wild? My dogs both had loose poops from it, but my friends dog did fine on it. I have two Akitas and they eat different foods. One eats Stella & Chewies LID, I switch between 3 flavors. Their non LID is too high in protein for my liking. My other dog eats Zignature, and I switch between almost all the flavors. No fish because I don’t like her breath on it, and a few other ones because they cost so much more than the others. Both are grain free like the taste of the wild. Wellness is also a good brand. Also Nutrisource and Pure Vita are good grain free foods. Wellness and Nutrisource make a food with grain as well. Taste of the wild has a newish line with grain too

He is doing just fine on taste of wild..and will rotate between the different flavors...its just that I seen dogs personally thrive on RAW..but also know GSD...can sometime have sensitive stomachs...so I am curious any GSD owners have their dogs on RAW....HMM sounds like a new thread!!..lol

It’s difficult to recommend a specific food as what suits one dog may not suit another.
Find one your dog likes looks fit and healthy on and stick to it.
