Good morning everyone and thank you for your warm and friendly welcome. We live in Waterloo, Belgium and yes, Waterloo is the place where Napoleon got what was coming to him! Having lost our beloved Berrie, an 11 year old Westie. Last February we decided to adopt another dog from a well know rescue shelter. This is how Zina, a 10 year old female Jack Russell came into our lives. The poor lass was adopted/returned twice from the same shelter. we are her third family. This is our first Jack Russell so, I will have questions for you experts.Thank you in anticipation for your kindness.
Hello everyone, I'm new on here, been on other forums and hope that I've done everything right. Got 2 golden retrievers named Barley who is 6 years old and Berry who is 4.
Welcome to the forum Dot, Barley and Berry, (lovely names). Goldens were my first pedigree breed, and there will always be a warm place in my heart for them.
Thank you Malka and CaroleC Did have 5 at one stage At the back from right to left Bramble who was first, Logan, Moss. At the front from left to right, Willow and Bracken.
Thank you Malka, no we're staying with 2 now. When we had the 5 hubby was working, now he's retired and it's easier to look after 2 than 5, but they look so good together. When we had our first, Bramble thought that it would be nice to have another. That was Logan, his mom was going to have her last litter so we thought that it would be nice to have one, because Logan was so good, that was moss. So Logan and moss are Brothers but a year difference. Then we thought that it would be nice to make it even and go to 4, that was Willow but from a different breeder but all related. Bracken was from the previous breeder because Willow had Hip deplacia and did'nt want to take the risk again. Even though Willow managed very well with his hips. Also Barley is related to the others but Berry was from a completely different one.
I did have four at one stage, but the bitch puppy developed a wry mouth at 6 months, so, after a bucket of tears, she went as a pet. My original was FT x show lines. Looking back she was no beauty, but she was much loved and so obedient. She developed HD, PRA and died due to a massive skin cancer. I bought a bitch puppy from a Champion bitch, but only bred one litter, (of two), from her. Difficult when you have a living to earn.
Sorry about that CaroleC yes it's difficult when you have to work. I was and still am at home all day. You've lost me, what is FT X show lines. Also what is HD,PRA? Golden retrievers are prone to Cancers, a lot of skin lumps that can be Cancer.
VACCINATIONS; VACCINATING YOUR PUPPY ON A DELAYED SCHEDULE Vaccinations are one of those hot topics in the dog world right now. In recent decades many have followed a schedule of several vaccinations done early and often during puppy hood, than again at least yearly into adulthood. However, titre tests have made it clear to us that dogs maintain their immunity for the things they are vaccinated against throughout their lifetime suggesting that repetitive vaccinations into adulthood are unnecessary. There's also a great deal of research and information so consider when vaccinating your puppy.

Hello, I'm new to Breedia and can't figure out how to post. Can you tell me how I create a new thread? I'm trying to find a Labrador/Samoyed mix puppy (or older dog) for sale or adoption. Thank you!
