Hello everyone, We picked up our puppy yesterday. I must say he is such a sweetie! I had also forgotten how much work puppies can be. It will be so worth it though. I will try to upload pics later as the only ones now are on my phone and I am technology illiterate. Have a great day!
Oh Jessica, I am so happy for your family and your new furbaby! Enjoy the difficult puppy works because they do not last forever - just love him and love him and love him, giving him the love that I am sure Copper wanted you to do, and as and when you can post pictures please try to keep them coming, together with updates as to how your new baby gets on. And, of course, what you decide to name him! Enjoy your new bubba and please give him huggles from us!

The only bump in the road is he is a pit mix and therefore the insurance company has a few stipulations on keeping him. 1. Get him neutered. (Which we were going to do anyway.) 2. Put up a fence. The good thing about this is they don't have a percentage of yard requirement for the fence. Pain in the neck but doable. I guess I should be thankful we are allowed to keep him with our current insurance policy. Many home owner's insurances in the U.S. will not allow certain breeds that are considered "dangerous." I think the list is now up to 7 or 8 different breeds. Wow. Just wow. Another topic for another day. Thanks for reading.
Bumps in the road as you describe them are, as you say, a pain in the neck but doable. You have given a home to a gorgeous puppy who possibly would not have that chance with anyone but you. I have never had the chance of pet insurance coverage as it was never available here, although my home contents insurance does cover any damages to someone inside or outside my home [not me, obviously] but even if Tikva frightened someone so they ran into the road [Tikki being on a tether that cannot even reach the sidewalk] - but no pet insurance cover. So I guess it is Third Party Insurance. Pet insurance would have been a great help for me had I been able to get it for Pereg, but it was not and yet she had the best vet treatment anyone could wish for.
