Been trying to find anyone with a labrador x ridgeback cross but no luck so far! Anyone have one/ know of one?
If you are looking to get a cross like this yourself, you would need to look at rescues because no decent breeder would produce a cross of these two nor any other two. They are both extremely strong, muscular dogs. Labs are far more sociable. Both beautiful breeds.
I agree labs are more sociable but its the way you bring up ridgebacks as with any other breed, all our ridgebacks have been the most friendly and sociable dogs you would ever want to meet. As for the cross, I was asking as I actually own one and was just looking for litter mates if possible or just to swap information with another owner
That's really interesting; there is a gorgeous Ridgeback at our local park but he's really aloof; the owner told me it is a 'breed thing'. So very interesting to hear from you that this is not necessarily true
I'm here!! I have a 2 year old ridgeback X labxrottie called Tummel and he is my world He will happily walk past strangers on walks but will also happily accept a fuss from them if offered one What can I help you with?
If you're looking for litter mates and/or people with the same breed, surely contacting the breeders of yours?
Hi, I am new to this forum. I rescued my boy Dexter when he was 4. They told me he was Lab/Pit mix. But, I am having my doubts. I'm thinking he has RR in him. Can anyone tell from pictures if he would have RR in him?
He Doesn't have a defined ridge, but his personality and looks are so close to a RR. He has trouble with strangers and he doesn't like kids, we are working on those problems.
Hi Dexter's Mom. You have probably noticed that this thread is over four years old. However, @Ballybee does still visit from time to time, so you may get a response if she sees this.
Hi, Thanks. No, I didn't notice the date. Do you know anyone who would be able to answer my question? Thanks again!
Hi there, I have a 7 year old ridgeback mix. Your boy definitely looks like he could have ridgeback in him.
@Ballybee so nice to see you back on Breedia Alyson! I do not know anything about such crosses but even so I did not think I could see pitbull. There are so many crosses - I have one [a Doxie/Minpin] but unless you knew you probably would not recognise either of them.
I'm always lurking, just don't post much i can't really see any bully breed there, maybe a little in the face but otherwise I don't. My boy is half ridgeback, then we think quarter lab and rottie, he is only wee but ridiculously strong, fast and smart!
