    Small breed?

    Hi
I've tended to have high energy medium sized dogs for most of my life and now looking to downsize for my next.
    I'd like small dog

    What breeds would you recommend?

    Thanks

    Kitkat_ and GsdSlave like this.
Hi John, you will need to narrow it down a bit.
What about coat length? A trimmed breed, or a low maintenance coat?
How much training and exercise are you prepared to do?
This is UK forum, so you are likely to get KC reg. breeds suggested?

If you want a energetic smaller dog and don't mind coat then I will always suggest a Papillon, they are the only small breed I like. Otherwise maybe a Cirneco Dell'etna, a Basenji or a terrier breed depends on what kind of personality you like in a dog.

you could visit your local Dogs's Trust or other local rescue's and tell them you're looking for a small dog and see what they have in if you're not fussy whether it's a crossbreed or not. They should know the dogs personalities to be able to match you with a little buddy! :D

I have a jack Russell. He is the nicest little dog ever. He is funny & sweet, black and tan like a Doberman. He is amazing with my kids, cats & even tolerates my house rabbit
