Well you see I needed my hand operated sewing machine out of attic & my men volunteered on going up to attic to fetch it out of there for me, but to get to the back of the attic where sewing machine was they at to remove all my Christmas decorations out of attic, so why they were fetching the decs out of the attic I was sneaking them away into the family room & was putting them up, so after a hour they came down with my sewing machine only to see the family room fully decorated with Christmas garlands, dangling ornaments, wall art, window stickers, flashing Christmas ornaments, tinsel, snowballs & an fully decorated Christmas tree So now I am totally ready for Christmas as all presents are all wrapped & labels on them, cards been sent out food & drinks have been ordered, now I can relax & enjoy Christmas
Too early for me, but if you don't get fed up of 'em as quick as I do, why not? I've just finished present wrapping today as most of 'em need to go to Yorkshire at the weekend. Mammoth card writing session is planned for tomorrow. Turkey is in freezer so I suppose I haven't a lot left to do (except the decorations of course)
I suppose folk must think me a miserable so and so, but the cards are enough of a decoration for us these days. I do have a table decoration, and a couple of Christmassy dog figures which sit in the window, but that is really all I can be bothered with.
No normally go up in December but as its only a week away decided to put them up last night - my men are now putting up the outside Christmas decs up & I have got all the Christmas bedding out of airing cupboard & going to rewash them then change all the bedding to Christmas ones
YAY Christmas! I adore the season! best time of the year for hiking in snow, making hot cocoa on the trail, baking all sorts of delicious foods, listening to lovely christmas music and weeping silently with my dog about how lonely I get this time of year. YAY for Christmas decorations too! Woo HOO!
