    dog safety

I lost ma dog ( Newfoundland ) last week when we out for shopping and now I am planning to install home monitoring system in my house. Atleast this would help me in the future. Apart from these, what other steps other can I take to safeguard my pet? I read in this blog http://cspalarms.ca/blog/security/how-to-protect-your-pets-from-theft/ about a microchip that is used to track pets. Is it painful to the pets? Does it really help?

All my 6 dogs are chipped & tattoed.
However there is nothing on the market that will guarantee to stop your dog from getting lost or being stolen.

6 dogs chipped and Tattooed. That gives me a lot of confidence. It's not dangerous after all :)
