Every Sunday we go to obedience classes with an excellent trainer, Gabor, an ex police dog trainer and handler. One of the things I like about his classes is the emphasis he places on dogs of all sizes, breeds and temperaments being able to socialise happily with each. To do this he uses a dog who ignores and is non reactive to, whatever nonsense the other dogs in the group are getting up to. Georgina, often gets chosen but yesterday couldn't do any training as she was "indisposed" because she had a sorely, poorly paw and was feeling sorry for herself! So who deputised for her? None other than Gwylim, the "little black devil"! There was quite a formidable line up breeds yesterday ... a Tosa, a Dogo, a Doberman, a Rottie, a BMD and 2 GSD's ...and he's so tiny by comparison! But my brave young man performed perfectly, never batting an eyelid at the other dogs antics and was rewarded with loads of praise from me and Gabor. And when we got home a juicy chicken neck and a big cuddle from his very proud mum!
