Thank you all! She was not on my lap Tina - she is a bit too big and heavy for that, well, for me, that is, - but she always wants to be as close to me as she can get. I was on the couch and she was snuggled up to me, and luckily my camera was on a little table between the couch and my recliner - and I managed to get those pictures. Considering the fact that the camera was, as always, just set on Auto [because I still do not know how to use it but at least I did remember to flip the wotsit up so the flash was activated], I am rather pleased - correction - very pleased that such close-up shots turned out as well as they did! Oh Pereg, my Pereg - how I love you so.
She is such a happy wubble in spite of all she goes through - I took these a couple of hours later when I wanted a nap - and then my power blew and I was without electricity for hours. No way could I have a nap with no air-conditioning because it was [and still is] uncomfortably hot. Anyhow I just have a few sockets back but all lights are out and will have to stay out until after Rosh Hashana and then Shabbat, but the power to my computer is on, as is the power to my refrigerator and all three freezers and my two air-conditioners B"H - think it was something to do with my outside lights as they seems to have caused the power to go - been out with a torch and one has been smashed - and both were new not so long ago... ...but her is Pereg before the power blew and I had to give up on the idea of a nap!
Little fatso - actually I think she has managed to lose a bit of weight again but will not know until her next due vet appointment for blood tests etc next month. But she has always had a wide deep chest and the thickest loose scruff ever, which makes her look far fatter than she is. But her collar is a half-slip one and is only used for her three tags - her tether or leash is clipped onto her harness, and both her harness and collar are wide, soft, and padded. She is not a pretty dog although in my eyes she is beautiful. And I love her, so who cares whether she is pretty or not. I certainly do not. I just love her.
Pereg thanks you all! But Carole, you would not say the same if your two snuggled up to you when it is so hot - hot bodies are not idea in such conditions! Mind you, it is rather nice in the winter...
