Sorry I haven't had a chance to get on the forum recently. I have been so busy trying to get the holiday cottage up and running. Myself, my sister, Zak and her BT, Daisy have not long returned from a fantastic week in my cottage in Glen Etive, near Glencoe in the Highlands. The weather was fantastic, which always makes a huge difference, the walking and wildlife were amazing and the cottage was wonderful - I highly recommend it A few photos taken from the many 100s I took On top of the world What a place! Checking out the bothy Our cottage We went on some amazing walks. Breathtaking scenery everywhere you turned. We had mountains, lochs and forests to choose from Also time to chill And have fun with friends Check out the locals And time to just look handsome
Lovely photos Kirsty, and fantastic scenery, makes me really want to go north again soon. We had a lovely time in our bothy in Glen Creran last year, Kodi loved the freedom of roaming the glen and paddling in the hillside streams. Only problem was he wanted to be out every morning at 5am, and guess who got the job of going with him? Zak looks so handsome and is obviously in his element. I presume he wasn't interested in chasing the Red deer Lovely set of photos and the location of your cottage is just fabulous.
Thanks Barry. Do you have any photos to share of your trip to Glen Creran? I would love to see them. I bet Kodi had a brilliant time. Thankfully Zak is under good control and didn't chase the deer - even when they were in "his" garden in the early morning and at dusk The cottage will be rented through Unique Cottages if you fancy staying there with Kodi sometime
Amazing location. That scenery is just beautiful! Will have to keep an eye out for your cottage How many dogs do you allow to stay?
What a beautiful set of pictures Moobli (we've missed you all) The scenary is fantastic....and Zak is looking incredible. Ps. You should see Rhodi chase the Deer around us, although that big Stag would have frightened him, without a doubt!!
Thanks everyone. Louise - we accept two dogs (but would probably take up to three if requested). The cottage is being managed by Unique Cottages (hope it is okay to post the link?) http://www.unique-cottages.co.uk/cottages/westcoast/argyll/glen_etive_cottage We have just put a new bench in the garden to take in the view and the wildlife
Lovely stuff Kirsty We passed by ( head of the glen) a few weeks ago but were too short of time to take a run down or find out if you were there at the time.
I haven't had a chance to get up since the end of March, Phil, as we have been busy lambing. It is now in the care of Unique Cottages and so they are trying to get it booked up as much as possible, but I am hoping to get a weekend up there myself soon. My sister and I have actually booked to go to Nethy Bridge in the Cairngorms in August (as Glen Etive is booked up!). Have you been to that area?
