Here in Lincolnshire - absolutely beautiful. Such a contrast to yesterday. Lots more of our bulbs have opened up today.
We have just had two days of choking dust storms, the dust turning the daytime sky into a dull dusky yellow, reducing buildings and views into faint outlines. Even the trees behind the macolet here were difficult to see. Apparently it was due to a cloud of Saharan Desert dust being carried on southwest winds through Egypt and Libya, but is due to clear up later today [later? it is already 5.15pm!] It was so bad that all domestic flights were cancelled due to the bad disability. It has also been unusually warm but is cooling down now, with light rain "possibly" forecast for tomorrow. The beach at Netanya yesterday...
Yesterday was warm and sunny but today its overcast and chilly. I check the 10 day weather forecast regularly as its quite possible we could still have snow. I won't feel safe till March is over!
Was raining on/off all day. Roll on Spring/Summer! I keep trying to convince myself that maybe the unusually wet, stormy, Winter is indicating we're in for a hot, humid, Summer
Beautiful picture. Is that your cat? Funny sort of day here. Very sunny first thing when I went for a run (when I could have done with it being cooler!), but chilly and dark clouds when I took the dogs out.
Gorgeous! Was bright here too. But still very damp out. Meant to be sunny tomorrow I believe, but cold overnight.
It was very foggy again this morning and it has still not cleared properly . I bet if I drive a mile up the road away from the river it will be lovely and sunny.
Sunny sunny sunny sunny sunny sunny for last 6 days, but even saying that one of my JRT's, The Evil One (Dottie) still managed to find a muddy patch on park & got herself caked in mud from head to tail.
We have had thick fog all day, no sign of clearing. Haven't had a sunny day since Sunday but weather forecast says we should have Been cold as well.
Horrid foggy start, but it's turned into a glorious day again. I keep expecting the hedgehog who visited us last year to turn up, but nothing so far. Witty is bound to find him and let us know when he reappears! When he (or she!) is around I put out a bit of Naturediet dog food, which it seems to love. At the moment though, because it hasn't turned up yet, I just put a few dried mealworms out last thing at night, just in case, and in the morning the blackbirds feast on them!
We've had the most glorious weather here for over a week and its really starting to feel like spring. I can't believe we've been so lucky this winter it's been so mild with only a week of snow and then not nearly as much as we normally have!
