So this is Bella. My wife and I took her in as a stray about 5 years ago and she's been the best dog we could've hoped for. Great around the kids, other dogs, and with just about anyone. The one question we've always had since we got her was... what is she? From our best guess we came up with a Posavac Hound. She weighs in at about 50lbs and stand about 2 1/2 feet from ground to head. Her fur is puppy soft yet she's around 6 years old. I was really curious as to what other people may think. P.S. You'll notice one picture shows her with a white tip on her tail. She had an unfortunate accident with a car door and we had to have about 3in taken from the end. So if anyone notices, that's what happened.
I've never heard of a Posavac Hound so she could well be one of those! Otherwise she looks like a hound/labrador cross maybe? She looks great fun whatever she is!
With a dog as georgous I'd not care what mix she was Hope you have many more happy years with her and she you xxx
Having had a look at a Posavac hound I'd say you were right but mixed with what I'd have no idea. She's a beautiful girl, great photos, especially her running on the beach
Well she is a very happy dog. We've never really considered lab mainly because of her smaller size and the fact that she hates water and couldn't care less to chase a ball. Plus my brother in law has both a yellow lab and a beagle and we never thought she looked anything like them. Thanks for the comments though
She is very gentle. She has been great with our two small children. And thank you we always thought she was a very beautiful dog. Still haven't seen any like her. We're very lucky
Gorgeous dog! I love her nose lol. She looks a lot like a posavac hound or and istrian shorthaired hound who are a related breed, but because those breeds are quite rare and usually a lot of money my bet is on some sort of retriever/collie cross
She is a very beautiful dog And she does look like a Posavac Hound (I had to google it) Anyways, she looks lovely
