This is Izzy, she RARELY barks but when she does its ALL beagle....she is super friendly and loves everyone she meets, very calm little girl...
I see Jack Russell in her too, although I see jack Russell in everything!!My tortoise is called izzie
Well I must say my imagination is stretched a bit wondering if you see 'Jack Russell' in that cute Shih Tzu of yours! It's good to see you having a bit of a laugh on here with the stress going on at the mo for you.
agree totally with the dachshund in it that was my first thought a black short haired dachshund with long legs also those brown marks in her face looks typical for them check here if it's working https://www.google.de/search?hl=de&...3j0j1j4.12.0...0.0...1ac.1.14.img.8TM2gUyewZU
Is she not just a 'pocket beagle'? It's not a separate breed; just a small beagle bred specifically for rabbits rather than hunting hares in a footpack. I thought in the US that these smaller beagles were reasonably well known and used in hunting circles. She looks like a scaled-down version of the beagles I hunted with when I was at college (we had our own pack) Not much like the pet / show bred version, which tend to be stockier, bigger and have a broader and more 'cute' face.
Am I the only one that instantly saw some kind of spaniel? That face just smacks of my friend's spaniels' faces. I, for once, don't see JRT at all...not even a little bit Izzy is super cute btw! I bet she's loads of fun
I was so curious, I googled Pocket Beagle and was disappointed to find a load of sites selling scaled-down beagles for the pet market as a novelty. Many do bear a striking resemblance to Izzy - others don't. I'm still convinced she's a deliberately bred-from-the-smallest (in the same way as some numpties do with Yorkies and Chis) version of a working-type of beagle. Can't see JRT, chi, daxi or anything else there.
