We are looking at getting another dog, sometime this year, but OH wants to look at a different breed. Another Leonberger , he feels, will be too after the upset over Hector. Sooooo..... He has been looking at the Tibetan Mastiff's. Ive done some research on the net and have found a breeder close by which we will go and talk to soon. But in the mean time is there any one who, from experience, can enlighten me further on all aspects of the breed. Any info will be welcome. x

I think they're absolutely beautiful dogs, I prefer the "lion" type of TM, but I don't really know much about them character wise, so I can only advise doing lots of research and sucking up on the breeder's knowledge lol
the ones on google piccies look far nicer than the type bred over here. I think I'd have to import one....they are stunning looking dogs
I must agree with you here but $1000000 is a bit out of my price range Looks wise on the Asian type are stunning, but I do like the european ones too. I'll have to go and see this breeder near me and spend some time with their dogs.
Deffo the Asian ones for me, but got enough on my plate here now, Keshi is going to be my very last big dog as will be a bit too long in the tooth to take anything like that on.
Far more money than I'll ever have. If I was going to get one I would find a small independent breeder so I knew what I was getting
Absolutely stunning looking dogs especially the black and tans for me anyway they look a bit Bernese'ish. I do believe they can be a bit temperamental and strong willed so need a firm but kind hand and leader more so than a lot of breeds.
