Hey guys, Here's Annie. She was supposed to be a Samoyed, but she's really not growing at the rate she should be. She's 3 and a half months right now, and she doesn't really seem to be growing at all if I'm honest. There's no significant difference from when I got her at 8 weeks and now. Thanks for any help guys!
Have you got her paperwork? What has the breeder said? Have you spoken to the vet? Have you any reason to be questioning her heritage? She should be growing like a weed!!
Did you see the mother? Is she lively? She looks absolutely gorgeous in any case. My standard poodle did grow a lot between 8 weeks and three and half months, but I don't know anything about samoyeds - perhaps it is normal for them to grow at a slower rate?
Hi George Annie is 14 weeks you say? She is beautiful She looks like a Sam puppy to me but it is difficult to calculate size from photographs. Go to Google /Samoyed puppy 14 weeks old /images ..to see similar puppies to make a comparison.
Hi again, Thanks for all of the advice. I had a little look over her initial vet paperwork today and found her birthday was on Oct 31, so she's actually only 12 weeks - not 14! Doh! Her mother was definitely normal size, she's very active and judging by other pictures of samoyeds of her age perhaps she's not too small after all. I think I got myself worried over nothing! I really appreciate all of the replies. Once again, thanks a lot guys.
