Just had to share this pic of my friends 5 week old Schipperkee pup



I've never understood why this breed is not more popular - they're a handy size, unexagerated and have good health a well as being a great little house dog.

I admit, out of the tiddlers, I do like them (found myself looking at German Spitz too!)

Its cause people cant pronounce or spell the name ,so look up spitz instead ....lol

My friend has one, must be about 6yrs old now, and boy has he been hard work, he is a very big dog in a small dogs body........................with loads of attitude but I dolove him

I LOVE Schipperkes!!!! And that pup is adorable! As a teenager i house/pet sat for a family with a little schippy and i adored him.
I agree, i have no idea why they aren't more popular as they have such huge personalities! However, they are massive barkers so that might put a lot of people off and they do need serious training or they can get you into lots of mischief so they aren't for everyone.
I would love to see some more around and i miss the little man I used to look after.

I met them at Discover Dogs and they seem to be fab little dogs, lots of dog squished into that little body.
