Brilliant. Estrelas are very sociable. The only trouble I ever have is from my Malamute. They can sleep together... Eat together.... and here they are with a big bunch of other Estrelas at a show
I could almost be tempted to find out more ... but I won't be having anything except WL GSDs in the future
I think they are gorgeous dogs but I see no need to own the more primitive types in this country. Unless of course you live somewhere like Moobli does, but lets face it the majority of us don't! the idea of some of those types of flock guardians in suburbia is quite scary.
I agree with this. Some breeds of dog are simply not pets. The established breeds we have here in the UK have softer temperaments as they have been bred as companions and show dogs for 30 years or so, but some of the more primitive breeds are straight from working stock, where the aggression has been bred into them. There are dogs like this in the UK now, which is worrying.
Seen this before. Crap breeder, crap handlers. Sadly people WANT them to be super aggressive, and actively encourage it. They are an accident waiting to happen.
We have breeders saying ''the best guard dogs in the world'' they have them saying '' more powerful than a .45''
I think they were all muppets in that video! From the breeder to that guy in the end to the person with the child! A dog like that in the UK wouldn't last very long - unless it never left the owners property.
There was a video on you tube (removed now) of a UK dog at the Euro show last year trying to attack the judge. There was much debate on this but some UK breeders were defending the dog and handler, saying that the temperament was CORRECT and the dog was right to attack. That kind of dog does attract macho owners and worse still, macho breeders. We don't have that in Estrelas, Maremmas, TMs, Koms etc.
So much idiocy on display in that video, not least the guy dangling his baby in a strange dog's face.
