Can I post some pics of Shaan on here (long coat GSD) or is the short coat the only one recognised?

Thought I'd ask first before I went in, full steam ahead :D :D

    Hi wolfie,

    Lovely.

It was a hard decision on whether to have a long haired or short haired GSD because they are equally beautiful. We went for the one which took less grooming - lol

    Hi All
Wow Shaan is gorgeous. I'm in love! Well so are the others but my heart goes to the longhaired. My friend has a girl called Bella, she is about 1 year old and semi-longhaired.

    Saffy:
Here in Denmark the longhaired are a fault, so if you want to breed with a pedigree you have to have a shorthaired GSD.

But if you have it as a pet then it doesn't really matter does it. Usually the semi- or longhaired are sold a bit cheaper than the shorthaired. At least here in Denmark.

Am I right in thinking that white GSD are not allowed to be shown?

Uhh you got me there. I don't really know. But in Denmark you can breed them with pedigree papers, so my guess is that you can show them, but I'm not sure.

Whites are highly undesirable according to the KC

Coat length doesn't matter though :)

    Wolfie:

In DKK The Danish Kennel Club, longhaired gsd's can have a pedigree but you are not allowed to breed on them! Well at least not if you want a pedigree on the puppies!
