have just adopted a new little terrier cross rescue dog. He is such a sweetie! He was a stray so we have no idea what he is or his background...what do you reckon is in his mix? He is actually fairly laid back, although they said at the recue he was fairly lively - I think maybe he just seems laid back compared to our first dog who is we think collie X staffie and has an endless supply of energy! So ...here he is:
Jack russel or parson russel cross, perhaps with a westie or other terrier? Seems to have got a longer coat from somewhere? He's cute though, hope he's settling in well
I would say Jack Russell definitely, but with what is anyone's guess Whatever the mix, what a beautiful little dog
thanks all. Yes he looks just like those pics borderdawn - first one especially. Yes he has been docked too. now off to research working JRTs ! the rescue lady thought he had some patterdale in him...but I'm not sure (and he's white not black!!)
I think the rescue lady could be right. Patterdale being the working type Lakeland terrier, and they come in white too. They were bred into the Parson jrt's in Brittain in the 90s and probably still. The powerfull muzzle and cheekbones and the slightly tilted eyes of your dog, do remind me of working Lakelands and Patterdales. You have a beautiful dog man, enjoy the little rascal !
He looks very similar to my colleagues dog who is a jrt cross patterdale. He's a little cutie though whatever his heritage.
