i would get books on both breeds. There is no telling which traits he would inherit. Being this breed, i would recommend (as with any dog) as much positive socialisation with both people and dogs as you can give. This is especially important with the rottie genes, as it will likely turn into a big dog which needs controlling.

I would recommend reward based positive training, and NEVER use punishment methods or negative based training. Perhaps find a good local training class to enrol into and join in the fun.

I just sometimes wonder, i'm not being bad and flameful in any way... But why do people not research these types of dogs (or any dog in that case) before going out and buying a puppy! :S You have taken the right step in coming on here, and asking for help. Though i would recommend doing some serious reading, and looking into the breed traits of both dogs. Was it working lab or show lab? If so begin work on getting it to retrieve toys. Definitelty get started on that socialisation with people, as you want a nice calm, well socialised adult dog :D

Also.... Pictures Pictures Pictures! Sorry i'm calling the dog a "he" sorry if he is indeed a "she" :S

The best way to determine the temperament of a mixed breed is to look up all breeds in the cross and know you can get any combination of any of the characteristics found in either breed.
